The question for many companies is can they retain a portion of that knowledge? It would be a great benefit to businesses large and small if an environment where generationally diverse employees will share knowledge gained through experience. Generation X and Y workers will account for well over fifty percent of the working population in 2016 and will carry businesses through this inevitable workforce transition. Employers need to better prepare themselves prior to this workforce shift by assessing their workforce needs today.
